לפני שאנחנו מבינים חלל, אנחנו מרגישים אותו. האור, הפרופורציות, החומרים, הצבעים והאופן שבו אנחנו נעים בתוכו משפיעים על התחושה שלנו כמעט מיד. זה בדיוק המקום שמסקרן אותי בעיצוב - להבין מה יוצר את התחושה הזאת, ולחבר בין כל המרכיבים כך שהחלל יהיה לא רק יפה, אלא נכון, נעים ומדויק למי שחי בו.
נעים מאוד, אני שני קרוג, מעצבת פנים, והגישה הזו מלווה אותי בכל פרויקט שאני מתכננת.
מבחינתי, עיצוב טוב מתחיל בהבנה של דיירי הבית - איך נראה היום שלהם, מה חשוב להם, מה הם רוצים להרגיש כשהם חוזרים הביתה ואיך הבית יכול לעבוד עבורם טוב יותר.

About me
Before we understand a space, we feel it. The light, the proportions, the materials, the colors and the way we move through it shape how we feel almost at once. That is exactly what draws me to design - understanding what creates that feeling, and bringing every element together so a space is not only beautiful, but right, comfortable and precise for the person living in it.
I'm Shani Krug, an interior designer, and this way of thinking is present in every project I plan.
For me, good design begins with understanding the people who live in the home - what their day looks like, what matters to them, how they want to feel when they come home, and how the home can work better for them.
I love precise planning, attention to the small details and the connection between function and aesthetics. In planning I place the emphasis on the greatest possible comfort for the people who live there, while weaving in the design character that is right for them.
To create homes that feel whole, natural and right for the people living in them. Homes that support the habits, the needs and the feelings of the people inside them.
איך הגעתי לעיצוב פנים
הדרך שלי לא התחילה במסלול הישיר והצפוי
בעבר הייתי עורכת דין, מקצוע שנתן לי כלים כמו: חשיבה אנליטית, ירידה לפרטים, ניהול מו"מ ותהליכים ויכולת לראות את התמונה הגדולה מבלי לפספס את האותיות הקטנות.
אך בעולם המשפט היו חסרים לי היצירה, הרגש והוויזואליות. בעיצוב הפנים מצאתי את האפשרות לחבר בין החשיבה המדויקת והאנליטית שמלווה אותי לבין יצירתיות, אסתטיקה והבנה עמוקה של האנשים שעבורם אני מתכננת.
חלק מהכלים שרכשתי בעולם המשפט עדיין מלווים אותי, במיוחד כשצריך לקבל החלטות, לנהל תקציב, לעבוד מול ספקים ובעלי מקצוע ולשמור על האינטרסים של הלקוחות לאורך התהליך.
How I came to interior design
My path didn't begin on the direct, expected route
I was previously a lawyer - a profession that gave me tools such as analytical thinking, attention to detail, managing negotiations and processes, and the ability to see the whole picture without missing the fine print.
But law was missing creation, feeling and the visual. In interior design I found a way to bring together the precise, analytical thinking I had built and creativity, aesthetics and a deep understanding of the people I design for.
Some of the tools I gained in law are still with me, especially when decisions have to be made, budgets managed, suppliers and trades handled, and clients' interests protected throughout the process.

אני רואה את הנגרות כחלק בלתי נפרד מהאדריכלות הפנימית - לא כרהיט שמתווסף בסוף התהליך, אלא כאלמנט שמגדיר את הבית, יוצר סדר ומייצר המשכיות.
חומריות אמיתית
עץ, אבן, מתכת, זכוכית ובדים טבעיים. חומרים שמעניקים לחלל עומק, חמימות ואופי, שמתיישנים בכבוד וצוברים אופי עם הזמן.
צבע כחומר אדריכלי
אני לא משתמשת בצבע כדי למשוך תשומת לב, אלא כדי לבנות אופי. ירוקים מעושנים, גווני אדמה, טרקוטה, גרפיט וצבעי אבן - גוונים שמרגישים כאילו תמיד היו חלק מהבית.
איזון
בין אסתטיקה לפונקציונליות. בין שקט לאופי. בין ניקיון עיצובי לעושר חומרי.
My Approach
Every home has its own design language
I believe in creating homes that are singular - homes that reflect a design language shaped around the people who live in them. Defined styles are reference points for me, not an end goal, and I rarely use those terms.
Inspiration comes from architecture, art, craftsmanship, materials, cultures, vintage pieces, color and texture. Each influence is refined and curated until it becomes part of one cohesive, harmonious language.
Joinery as architecture
Architectural joinery is central to my work. More than storage, it shapes the interior architecture, defines spaces, creates continuity, and gives each project its identity.
Natural materials
Wood, stone, metal, glass and natural textiles. Beyond their beauty, they bring warmth and depth. They age gracefully and gather character over time.
Color as material
I treat color as an architectural material rather than decoration - muted greens, earthy terracottas, ochres, graphite and layered neutrals that become part of the architecture itself.
Balance
Between beauty and function, simplicity and richness, calm and character.

Designing a home is a process made of many decisions, many details and many people who have to be brought together. My role is to hold the whole picture for you - to create order, to narrow the options, to explain what each decision means, and to make sure every choice connects to the decisions already made and sits well with the overall design idea we chose. You don't need to know in advance what is right, or to know the world of design; you need to know what feels right to you. I'm here to translate that into precise planning, to lead the process with confidence, and to let you know that someone is thinking several steps ahead - including about the things you don't yet know to ask.
Getting to know you
Every project begins with your lifestyle, routines and aspirations. Precise design starts with listening.
Transparency
I share the thinking behind every choice - planning, material, color or joinery detail. When you understand the reasoning, you feel like a partner.

I am with you the whole way - in dealing with suppliers and trades, and at every junction where a decision has to be made. When a small question or a seemingly minor hesitation comes up, you have someone to turn to for guidance.
